Biography
J. Robin Wright is a Licensed Funeral Director and embalmer who is certified by the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice as a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner. Robin is dually licensed in both Florida and Tennessee. She is a graduate of John A. Gupton College in Nashville Tennessee with a degree in Mortuary Science in 2000. In 2003 Robin graduated with a B.A.in Management and Human Relations from Trevecca Nazarene University, also in Nashville. She earned her Master’s in Management and Leadership in 2012 and a Master in Theological Studies in 2013 both from Liberty University Lynchburg, Va. She is currently enrolled in the Doctorate of Educational Leadership program at Liberty University.
Robin has been an Adjunct Professor of Funeral Service at Florida State College of Jacksonville where she has been teaching the next generation of Funeral Directors since 2005.She has taught Management, Funeral Service History, Grief Management, Business Operations, and Funeral Service Ethics/Sociology. Robin has served on the Sothern Accreditation of Colleges and Schools for FSCJ’s Funeral Service Program Reaccreditation Committee. She currently serves on the Academic Advisory Committee for the Funeral Service Program at FSCJ North Campus. Robin has also served as a member of the American Board of Funeral Service Reaccreditation team for FSCJ. She has served as a tutor for the TRIO program tutoring in Anatomy, Biology and Funeral Service courses as well as a private tutor for those preparing to take the National Funeral Directors exam or the State of Florida Funeral License exam. Robin is a Veteran (Desert Shield Desert Storm) serving in the Army and the Tennessee Army National Guard from 1990- 2000. Robin has been member of the Disabled Veterans of America Chapter 20 in Lake City Florida for many years.
Robin is married to Brian Wright who teaches at Belmont and her children Logan and Reagan Wright also attend Belmont Academy. She enjoys Atlanta Braves Baseball, University of Tennessee Football and Basketball, Liberty Flames Football and Baseball. She enjoys spending time with her family, history, traveling and camping.
